Up a flight of stone steps on Upper Lake Road, our steep-roofed chalet sits among potted plants and garden greenery — minutes from the heart of Nuwara Eliya, yet it feels a world away.

Inside, it’s all honey-toned timber, soft linen and lamplight. Curl up by the stone hearth, soak in the freestanding tub as the fire flickers, then climb the open staircase to a cosy mezzanine bedroom tucked beneath the roof.

Our small team takes care of the rest — breakfast before your early tour, lighting the fire, arranging a tuk-tuk into town.
